AI for Energy Auditors — Live Online Cohort

$2,500.00
Title

Stop writing reports. Start shipping audits.

A 6-week live cohort for working energy auditors, M&V engineers, and benchmarking consultants who want to put AI to work on real client deliverables — not toy demos.

Most auditors lose 8–12 hours a week to boilerplate: writing executive summaries, formatting ECM tables, transcribing site notes, chasing utility bills, and rebuilding Excel workbooks they've already built five times. This cohort teaches you to automate that work using Claude, MCP, and a small library of audit-specific skills you'll build during the program — and walk away with.

Cohort 1 — kicks off Tuesday, June 23, 2026

  • Session schedule: Tuesdays at 11:00 am MT — June 23, June 30, July 7, July 14, July 21, July 28
  • Format: 90 minutes per session, live on Zoom, all sessions recorded
  • 12 seats maximum — small enough that you'll actually get unstuck during office hours
  • Weekly office hours with Chris Mbori (CEM, CEA, CMVP) and the Eenovators team
  • Cohort Slack for peer review, sample artifacts, and ongoing Q&A
  • 1-year library access to all skills, prompts, and templates built during the cohort

What you'll build during the cohort

  • An ASHRAE Level 1 / Level 2 report drafting skill that ingests your site notes, utility data, and equipment schedule, then drafts the executive summary, ECM narratives, and savings tables in your firm's voice and format.
  • An Energize Denver / Boulder ECO / Colorado BPS compliance assistant that pulls your building's Portfolio Manager data, computes EUI vs. target, and drafts the annual submission narrative.
  • An M&V automation that pulls interval data from eGauge / Acuvim / Socomec meters, runs IPMVP Option C regression, and produces the savings report.
  • A proposal generator that converts a 10-minute discovery call into a full Eenovators-style 1-pager with scope, fee, and timeline.
  • Your own custom skill as the capstone — pick the deliverable that's eating your week.

Module-by-module

  1. June 23 — AI for non-developers. What Claude / ChatGPT / Perplexity each do well. Prompt patterns that survive contact with a real audit. The 4 mistakes auditors make in week one.
  2. June 30 — Connecting AI to your work. MCP, Cowork, and how to point Claude at your actual files (Excel, Word, PDFs, email) without copy-pasting.
  3. July 7 — The audit drafting skill. Build a reusable skill that drafts your reports in your firm's voice. Bring a real audit; leave with the skill.
  4. July 14 — Compliance automation. Energize Denver, Boulder ECO, Colorado BPS — automate the data pull, EUI calc, and submission narrative.
  5. July 21 — Measurement & verification. Pull interval data, run regressions, generate IPMVP reports.
  6. July 28 — Capstone & demo day. Each cohort member presents one workflow they automated. Receive feedback and a shareable artifact you can show clients.

Who this is for

  • Practicing energy auditors (ASHRAE Level 1 / 2)
  • M&V engineers and CMVP candidates
  • Benchmarking consultants working on Energize Denver / Boulder ECO / Colorado BPS
  • Energy services firm owners who want their team to ship 2× faster
  • CEM / CEA candidates who want a competitive edge

Who this is NOT for

  • People who want a passive video course — this is live and hands-on
  • Engineers who don't actually do audits or M&V — you won't have a project to apply this to
  • Anyone expecting AI to replace technical judgment — this teaches you to automate the boring parts so you have more time for the hard parts

About the instructor

Chris Mbori is a Certified Energy Manager, Certified Energy Auditor, Certified Measurement & Verification Professional, and BEAP/BESA — one of the few practitioners holding 10 AEE certifications. He runs Eenovators (energy services) and PURESCO (efficiency consulting) and has spent the last 18 months building production AI workflows on Claude, MCP, and MindStudio for real audit and compliance deliverables. This cohort is the playbook he uses with his own team.
